Martial arts is the beginning — not the limit. A program built to develop the whole child, inside and outside the dojo.
Martial Arts Is Just The Beginning
At our school, martial arts training is the foundation — not the ceiling. We have high expectations for our students' growth on every level, not just physically but mentally and socially as well.
We have specific programs in place to develop social skills and build strong character through a system of projects developed right here at our school, with the input of school teachers and psychologists, for use exclusively in our program.
Developing Full Potential
We also offer cross training in a wide range of related skills and activities — including basic acrobatics — all centred around developing the student's full potential across many disciplines both in and outside of martial arts training.
These disciplines are all connected by one thing: Confidence.
Why We Don't Do Tournaments
This may surprise you — but we don't do tournaments, and here's why.
When we stand in front of your child and say "it's wrong to hit another person unless they are trying to hurt you" — we mean it. We can't then take them to a tournament where the child who hits the most kids wins the biggest trophy and gets told "well done." No matter how it's sold, one child is being rewarded for hitting another child. That's not what we're about.
Our other concern with tournament-focused schools is this: you're often told "tournaments aren't compulsory" — but watch who gets the attention. Is it your child, or is it the kids on the fighting team?
If that makes sense to you, we'd love to hear from you. We offer three free lessons so your child can experience the program before you commit to anything.
