About Rob Baard

The Instructor

Rob Baard — Instructor Rob Baard — Instructor

Rob Baard didn't come to stealth through theory. Growing up small, quiet and visibly different in a rough area, he learned early to read distance and leave before attention turned into trouble. As a teenager training ninjutsu in a Geelong lodge hall, he had twenty seconds to hide while someone ran to press the pedestrian lights, and every time he was found, he learned why. Training in Japan under Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi, and work as a licensed private investigator, kept proving the same rules. This guide sets them down.

The Discipline of Non-Selection

The free guide gives you five rules. The book works the doctrine from the ground up across 33 chapters: how the eye resolves a shape, why movement is the most expensive thing a hidden person does, cover and concealment, how a searcher searches, forest, jungle, desert and snow, why a city dismisses whoever fits, crowds, vehicles and digital exposure, and the long game of living unremarkable. The full narrative companion to Stealth & Camouflage.
